Overview

Hartwell Manufacturing, a leading steel fabricator based in Wakefield, required a secure and durable solution to protect two key access points within their facility. With security and reliability as top priorities, they approached our team to design, supply, and install roller shutter systems tailored to their specific dimensions and operational needs. The shutters were to be manually operated, ensuring ease of use without reliance on electrical components, suitable for their industrial setting.

Our Solution

We provided a complete service package that included the manufacture, delivery, and installation of 2 manually operated roller shutters. Each shutter was constructed using:

• 3” pre-galvanised solid steel lath for maximum durability and corrosion resistance.
• 65mm guide channels with all guide components fully welded together to enhance structural strength and security.
• One pair of bullet locks per shutter, securely positioned in the guide channels as standard for added protection against unauthorised access.

The shutters were made to fit the following opening dimensions:

1. 1900mm wide x 1194mm high
2. 1695mm wide x 942mm high

Both shutters were designed for manual operation (push up/pull down), offering a simple and effective solution without the need for electrical installation or maintenance.

The project was delivered on time, with all installations completed to the client’s satisfaction.
