Excel Industrial Doors and Shutters install roller shutters and steel hinged doorsets in Leeds

ADAMCO Construction recently enlisted the help of Excel Roller Shutters to install a number of roller shutters and steel hinged doorsets for one of their latest projects. The company is well-respected within the industry and experience has been passed from generation to generation to guarantee a high level of expertise and craftmanship.   

As our shutters and doorsets were being installed on a business park for this project, it was crucial for the client to feel confident that all components boast a high level of security and would be in keeping with the building itself.  

After consulting our staff, ADAMCO decided upon the manufacture, delivery and installation of five electrically operated roller shutters. As we manufacture almost all of our products in-house, we are able to ensure the quality of everything, controlling every aspect to guarantee the highest possible service and security levels.   

The roller shutters chosen by ADAMCO are electrically operated roller shutters, which can be operated with a key-switch, complete with keys or a remote control, including a handset.  These shutters are constructed with pre-galvanised solid steel laths and 65mm guide channels. The shutters also come with a manual override facility in case of any issues the building may have with the mains.   

Excel Roller Shutters offer a number of optional extras, and in this case, the client decided to add additional handsets.   

Our team were also tasked with the careful removal and disposal of two existing doors onsite, which were to be replaced with our own manufactured doorsets.  

The products chosen were two steel hinge exit door and frame sets, manufactured as follows: 

• 45mm thick door leaf with flush lipped astragal constructed from ‘Rustec’ sheets. Each are dutch folded and internally bonded together 
• Doors also boast a 42mm thick ‘Hexatec’ core 
• Door frame manufactured from 1.6mm thick ‘Rustec’ steel 
• A single rebate 104mm wide frame with additional rebate for flush lip

The company also hired us to supply and install new fixing to an existing door leaf, enabling the repair of a fire exit door.
